Celebrating National Robotics Week

This week is National Robotics Week! We stopped by a meeting of our Robotics Club to catch up with the students and their staff advisor, Mr. Galusha. It is so impressive to see what this club is working on. Students are learning to build, code, and control robots using the VEX Robotics systems. The skills learned in the Robotics Club will be invaluable to our students in the future. Read more about what the club is up to here.

WCSD Teachers Complete Pathways to Leadership Program

Congratulations to WCSD teachers Mrs. Uhly, Mrs. Sesselman, and Mrs. DiBiase for completing the Pathways to Leadership Program! The program trains educational staff to deal with the current issues faced by school leadership, including the shortage and quality of candidates interested in formal leadership roles. Participation in programs like this prepares us for the future of our district and raises leaders from within. Thank you for stepping up to the challenge!

March Elementary Students of the Month

At the end of last month, we recognized all of our March Students of the Month during our Elementary School P.R.I.D.E. Ceremony. We were treated to a performance from our Elementary School Jazz band and a lesson on climate change from student peer leader Charles Carodonna. We love coming together as a school to celebrate the achievements of our students!

High School Spirit Week

Before heading out for Spring Break, our Jr./Sr. High School hosted a spirit week filled with themed dress-up days! Monday was PJ Day, Tuesday was Twin Day, Wednesday was "Anything but a Backpack" Day, and Thursday was Pastel/Spring Day. It was so fun to see our students (and staff!) get creative with the themes.
