The Senior National Honor Society would like to recognize the valedictorian of the Class of 2022 as Jane Boston, daughter of Monika and Jonathan Boston. Jane has been involved in Drama Club, Quiz Bowl, and Jazz Band, and was also Nominated as Best Supporting Actress in the Proctors’ High School Theater Awards this year. She plans to attend SUNY Oneonta to major in Biology, and we will miss her so much next year! Congratulations and good luck, Jane!

Today’s featured National Honor Society senior is the group’s President, Audrey Steves. The daughter of Carla Curren and Henry Steves, Audrey has been a leader at Warrensburg in many ways. She has been involved in Varsity Soccer, Basketball, Softball, and Track & Field, Student Council, SADD, Varsity Club, and Band. The Senior National Honor Society would like to recognize Elizabeth Shumek, daughter of Lisa and William Shumek, as our featured senior of today. Ranking 3rd in the Class of 2022 and serving as the secretary of National Honor Society, Liz has been very active in her high school career, becoming involved in Art Club, Band, Jazz Band, Peer Tutoring, Class President, and all while working outside of school. She plans to attend SUNY New Paltz next year to study psychology and fine art. Her other future goals are to travel around the world and make a difference. Dan Cunniffe is the National Honor Society’s featured senior today. The son of Dorian and Sean Cunniffe, Dan ranks 6th in this class and has served as the group’s treasurer for the past two years. While at Warrensburg, Dan has participated in Varsity Soccer, Basketball, Band, and a variety of other sports and activities, especially weight lifting. He plans to attend Siena College to study Chemistry Education with goals to start his own business in the future. Congratulations and good luck, Dan!

The National Honor Society would like to recognize Natalie Bederian as our featured senior member today. The daughter of John and Andrea Bederian, Natalie ranks 5th in the class and has been rigorously involved in the New Visions Medical Program the past year. During her career in Warrensburg, Natalie has been involved in SADD, HOBY, Empire Girls State, Varsity Volleyball and Softball, Upward Bound, Meals on Wheels, and has worked as a volunteer with the Warrensburg EMS. She has also worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor at Echo Lake, a spin and kickbox class instructor at Cycling Studio on Park, and a waitress at Luck E Star Cafe. She plans to enlist in the Army National Guard to become a Combat Medical Specialist. After returning home from the military, Natalie aspires to attend nursing school with the overall goal of becoming a nurse practitioner specializing in midwifery or neonates. The future is limitless for you, Natalie! Good luck in all you do!

Tanner McKenna is today’s featured senior for National Honor Society. The son of Kim and Scott McKenna, Tanner ranks 4th in his class and has been heavily involved in the Wrestling Program here at Warrensburg, through which he has been awarded with many honors. He plans to attend Virginia Tech in the ROTC and COC programs where he will also study computer science. After graduating from college, ROTC, and the Corps, his future goal is to be commissioned as an officer in the US Military. Congratulations and good luck, Tanner!
