Meet the High School Office Team

They say it takes a village to raise a child. In the Warrensburg Jr./Sr. High School, our staff is that village, working together to ensure a positive experience for our students and community.

Three unsung heroes, Ennea LaBar, Brittany Baker, and Jessica Monroe, are behind the scenes in our offices, connecting administrators with the students and community every day.

“The work done by these women is what makes our schools run efficiently. They are friendly and reliable faces for our students and often step in to advocate on their behalf.  We are lucky to have them on our team,” shared Amy Langworthy, Warrensburg Central School District Superintendent.

While there are many administrative responsibilities that fall under the scope of these positions, all of the women say that having a positive impact on students during their six years in the Jr./Sr. High School is what brings them to work every day. Meet the staff members below!

Ennea LaBar is the secretary for the athletic director and the guidance office. Mrs. LaBar attended and graduated from Warrensburg CSD. Now, she is in her 28th year of employment with the district! With two job titles, she never has a slow day. As the secretary to the athletic director, she manages sports registrations, coaches’ compliance, and department communications. Her desk is located in the center of the guidance office, where she directs the students who enter while simultaneously handling record-keeping, phone calls, and website information for both the athletics and guidance departments.

Another Warrensburg CSD attendee, Brittany Baker grew up in Warrensburg, left for a short period, and found her way back to the community to raise her children. Mrs. Baker has been with the district for seven years. This is her first year as secretary to the high school principal. She previously worked with the district as a teaching assistant. Mrs. Baker works alongside Mr. Holcomb and the guidance counselors to coordinate larger events such as graduation and testing. Brittany is responsible for many daily tasks such as substitute coverage, facilitating communication between staff and administration, and interacting with students, families, and the community. She also coaches Warrensburg youth and high school sports.

A familiar face to all who enter the high school is Warrensburg CSD graduate and High School Attendance Clerk Jessica Monroe. Mrs. Monroe, who has been working for the district for 10 years, is the gatekeeper of the building – when you press the buzzer to unlock the building’s doors, Mrs. Monroe lets you in. She is responsible for tracking the attendance of students, communicating absences to parents/guardians, and coordinating plans for students missing school with counselors. Mrs. Monroe keeps track of all who come and go from the school and advocates for chronically absent students with teachers, counselors, and the administration team. In addition to her role as Attendance Clerk, Mrs. Monroe is also the advisor of our freshman class and our trap club.

Since the pandemic, student absenteeism has skyrocketed nationwide. Mrs. Monroe analyzes the attendance patterns of our students to find out what is causing them to miss school. From there, she will connect with other staff members who work with the student to find solutions and improve attendance.
