Position Overview

Teacher Aides play an essential role in supporting students and teachers while helping create positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environments. These positions provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students while contributing to the daily success of our classrooms.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students academically, socially, and behaviorally under the direction of teachers and administrators
• Reinforce classroom expectations and assist with classroom management and student supervision
• Support the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), accommodations, and behavioral supports
• Supervise students during transitions, arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, and other school activities
• Assist with classroom organization, instructional materials, attendance, clerical tasks, and daily classroom operations
• Provide assistance with student health, safety, mobility, feeding, and personal care needs, including toileting, when required, while maintaining student dignity and following district procedures
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to support student success
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is preferred
• Experience supporting students with disabilities or diverse learning needs is preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

Cafeteria Aides play an essential role to our students.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Student Supervision: Supervise children in the cafeteria to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
• Student Assistance: Help young students open milk cartons, packages, and containers, or carry trays.
• Behavior Management: Make sure students stay seated in their assigned areas and use good manners.
• Dismissal: Organize groups of students for quiet and orderly dismissal to recess or class.
• Reporting: Inform teachers, nurses, or administrators about major misbehavior, accidents, or injuries.
