We want to congratulate all of our April students of the month from the Elementary School! Students were recognized for their performance in all classes, including physical education, music, and art. We love celebrating the hard work our students put into their education!
Thank you to everyone who came out to our Elementary School Open House last week! We had so much fun showing off what our students have been working on during the school year.
The Warrensburg Elementary Drama Club will be hosting their Variety Show Night on May 15th at 6 pm in the Elementary School Gymnasiums. Join us to cheer on our talented students!
Reminder, there is a Public Budget Hearing at the start of the May 13th Board of Education Meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the Jr/Sr High School Auditorium.
Warrensburg students attended the Sandra A Morley Leadership banquet to receive awards for their leadership in physical education. Students were selected for their leadership skills, positive attitude, behavior, and performance. Congratulations to WCSD students Sadeigh Fish, Savannah Duell, Nevaeh Goodell, Carter Rausch, Austin Conner, and Grayson Breault!
This year, five Warrensburg students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). To qualify for the NTHS, students must achieve a 94 minimum GPA in their CTE program, display the highest standard of personal and professional conduct, achieve a 90 minimum GPA in the integrated academic components of the program (English and Math), and be nominated by their instructors. Congratulations to Warrensburg students Colton Bell, Marshall Bushey, Kai Healy, Wyatt Hitchcock, and Hope Sherman for achieving this recognition!
REMINDER: The Warrensburg Central School District's public budget hearing for the 2024-25 school budget will be held on May 13th at 6PM in the Jr/Sr High School.
May 8th is National School Nurses Day! Our school nurses play an invaluable role in our district by keeping students in our school buildings healthy and safe. Nurses are healers, educators, role models, and comforters. We are thankful for the work you do!
Last week, Warrensburg students joined other volunteers for a vertical garden build at Whitbeck Construction's headquarters. This event was organized by the Northeast Construction Trades Workforce Development Coalition, who work to encourage young people to consider a career in the construction industry by bringing awareness to the opportunities and benefits associated with the industry. Thank you for having us!
Warrensburg Senior Brady Cheney recently moved to 2nd all-time career strikeouts in Section 2 with 280 strikeouts! He now trails former MLB pitcher and Saratoga Catholic graduate Tim Stauffer for most strikeouts in Section 2. Congratulations Brady, keep up the good work!
On May 20th, join us at the Warrensburg Elementary School for a meeting of the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA)! The PTSA is a volunteer association that connects families, schools, and communities by providing programs and services at our schools.
This week, the Warrensburg Central School District celebrates Staff and Teacher Appreciation Week! We thank every member of our staff for their commitment to educating and improving the lives of our students. In addition to the jobs they have in the school, our staff members serve as role models for the next generation. Thank you for all that you do!

Save the date! Our school budget vote is coming up on May 21st. Polls will be open from Noon to 8 p.m. Polls will be located in the lobby outside of the Warrensburg Jr./Sr. High School Gym at 103 Schroon River Rd., Warrensburg, NY.
May 3rd is School Lunch Hero Day! Our Elementary School lunch team was gifted flowers, cake, and thank you cards from different classes to celebrate. Between preparing healthy meals for students, following nutrition guidelines, navigating student food allergies, and offering service with a smile, our Food Service workers are true heroes. We thank you for your dedication to fueling our students for success!
Last week, our Jr./Sr. High School band took a field trip to Boston to perform at the Music in the Park Festival, explore the area, and attend performances of acclaimed musicians. Our jazz ensemble earned the top rating of "Superior" at the festival with very positive feedback from the judges. Students explored some of the most historical parts of Boston and attended a Boston Symphony Orchestra concert.

Members of our staff were recognized at the Warren County Criminal Justice Committee for their work with the YReconnects Community of Practice program. The program aims to provide alternatives to intervention for students and families in Warren County who are at risk of entrance or furtherance into the criminal justice system.

There has been a change in the date for Kindergarten Graduation. Kindergarten Graduation will be on June 24, 9:00 a.m. in the Elementary School Gymnasium.
May 1st is School Principals' Day! We would like to thank our Elementary School Principal, Keith LaLone, and Jr./Sr. High School Principal, Jeff Holcomb, for their leadership and dedication to providing students with a positive education experience.
