Five of our student-athletes from the Bolton-Warrensburg Varsity Soccer team were named as All-Stars for the Adirondack League in Section II. Tanner Monroe, Louis Lang, and Ben Holcomb were named to the First Team. Keith Sonley and Tyler Trowbridge were named to the Second Team. Congratulations, boys!
Our Elementary School's Student Council took time this week to create cards and ornaments to deliver to the Countryside Adult Home in Warrensburg. They are bringing the holiday spirit to our community!
Senior basketball player, Stevie Schloss, was recognized by the Post Star as one of the 12 local players to watch during the upcoming season. Last season, he averaged 21.3 points per game. Congratulations, Stevie!

Congratulations to Coach Scott Smith on his 250th career victory! Smith is our Athletic Director, coaches varsity girls' basketball and soccer, and teaches physical education. We are proud of Coach Smith and all of our student-athletes who helped to achieve this milestone!
Our "In The Zone" students attended a Friendsgiving dinner with their advisors from the program and their families. This time was spent reflecting on the academic achievements, field trips, community service, and crafts that the students have experienced during their time with "In The Zone". Students gifted their sponsors with homemade candles.
Sixth Grade students took a field trip to Lake Placid today in support of their Social Studies Unit on Classical Civilizations and their Inquiry “Are the Olympics about more than sports?" Students were able to attend the FIL World Cup Luge Event at Mt Van Hoevenberg, watch the competition, and meet athletes. Thank you to the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) for providing tickets for our students!

Award-winning local author, Rachel Vogel, visited our K-6 students at the Warrensburg Elementary School today. She read excerpts from her chapter book "Nugget & Bandit's First Winter" and discussed her picture book, "Raccoons Go Rafting," with the students. Ms. Vogel shared her journey as a published writer and taught students how to get started on their own writing journeys. In the winter, she will be at Richards Library in Warrensburg to host a family-friendly community event, so keep an eye out!

Congratulations to Warrensburg Senior Cameron Carpenter on his win at the Game of Logging Chainsaw Safety Training competition. Participation is usually offered to farmers and land owners in the area, but the programs that BOCES offers to our students give them the skills they need to perform at this event. Cameron came out on top against other participants who had 3 to 4 times his experience.

Are you thinking ahead to summer? The Glens Falls-Saratoga Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club is offering scholarships for students ages 11-17 to spend a week at either of the Department of Environmental Conservation’s environmental camps, Camp Colby near Saranac Lake or Pack Forest just above Warrensburg. The camps are led by counselors with backgrounds in science, education, or recreation who educate participants on environmental issues through hands-on learning. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Warren and Washington Counties will be offering their “PS: It Works! Parenting” program beginning January 11, 2024. The program will consist of a series of 5 classes, held each Thursday starting on the 11th from 6:00-7:30 pm via Zoom.
This free program is designed for parents/caregivers with children from toddlers to teens who want to learn how to help guide the children in their care in a supportive way. Basic parenting skills will be explored in this fun, interactive class. To register please send an email to rmw38@cornell.edu.
This past Sunday, five members of the Bolton-Warrensburg Girls Varsity Soccer team were recognized at the Section 2 All-Star banquet held in Albany.
Hope Sherman (Warrensburg), Madison Goodspeed (Warrensburg), and Ila Hubert (Bolton) were named to the Adirondack League First Team All-Star. Zailey Baker - Junior (Warrensburg) and Maille Kelley (Bolton) were named to the Adirondack League Second Team All-Star. Hope Sherman was also named the Section 2 Class C Goalie of the Year and recognized as a New York State, Class C, 4th team All-Star.
Congratulations to all the girls on a tremendous season. We are proud of you!
