Today is Senior Give Back Day! Our Seniors enjoyed a fun and purposeful day, getting out of the classroom and into the community to help others. Students spent the morning cleaning up the yards of older neighbors who need assistance. They tackled removing the leaves from these yards with rakes, bags, and leaf blowers! Afterwards, students returned to campus to enjoy lunch and yard games. We are so proud of the Class of 2024, great work all!

The Seagle Opera Company stopped by our Elementary School to showcase the children’s opera "The Ugly Duckling". Students walked to the gym from their classrooms to see the premiere opera and musical theater-producing organization in the Adirondack Region perform. The whimsical retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale explores important themes of diversity and tolerance, encouraging young people to accept differences in other people. Fish took home the title of heavyweight champion, went undefeated in right-hand matches, and qualified for the national competition. Students and staff are welcome to visit his office in the High School Library to try their luck against the champion. Keep up the good work, Matt!

Absenteeism in the first month of school can predict poor attendance throughout the school year. Half the students who miss 2-4 days in September go on to miss nearly a month of school over the course of the school year. Encourage your student to form the habits of good attendance early to set them up for success!
