Thank you to the American Red Cross and our student and faculty volunteers who organized the Blood Drive in the High School yesterday. The group aimed to collect 22 units of blood, and passed that goal as they collected 31 units of blood in total! 32% of donors that joined us were first-time donors. The donations given will help to save lives around the world!

Last night, the community joined us at the Elementary School to celebrate Halloween with the Halloween Parade! Students and their loved ones came in creative costumes. Awards were given out for best, funniest, and scariest costume. Thank you to the Warrensburg Volunteer Fire Company for organizing this event and being the judges of the costume competition!

Our Elementary School kicked off Halloween with their monthly P.R.I.D.E. assembly! Principal LaLone gathered the students in the gymnasium so they could cheer on their peers that were named as "Student of the Month" and awarded with certificates during the assembly. Our school band came together to play some exciting chants and we welcomed families into the school so they could see their students' accomplishments.

Our Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.) club went to Stewart's to participated in "Sticker Shock". Students added stickers to alcoholic beverages that warned adults over 21 not to give alcohol to minors. The program was started to remind adults of the dangers of underage drinking. Thank you to Stewart's Shops for allowing us to stop by, and to the kind gentleman that bought hot chocolate for our students when they finished!

Warrensburg Economics teacher, Mr. Bruce, took two students to the Warren County Economic Development Corporation Annual Luncheon at Fort William Henry. They had the opportunity to met Dr. John Kelly III of IBM. Kelly is known as the "father" of Watson, a computer system most known for competing against humans on Jeopardy! The group listened to him speak on Lake George's dedication to freshwater protection.

Cogratulations to Caden Allen for surpassing the 1,000-yard passing mark over the weekend! In doing so, Caden also became the single-season passing record holder in Warrensburg School history. Caden will forever have his name posted on both the Warrensburg and Lake George weight room walls. The previous record for a single season was held by Carter Combs at 975 yards for passing.
