The Warrensburg Central School District is pleased to announce the top ten graduates of the class of 2018.

Natalie Davey has earned the distinction as the class of 2018 valedictorian. Natalie is a longtime dancer at the Reality Dance Studio, an active member in the Warrensburg drama club, won Best Supporting Actress 2017, and nominated for Best Actress 2018 by the Proctors High School Musical Theater Awards. She is also the captain of the Warrensburg band flag team. Natalie will attend Hamilton College in the fall to explore music, neuroscience and environmental science and then accept the transfer option extended to her to attend Cornell University. Natalie is the daughter of Tom and Sheryl Davey of Lake George.

Nicholas Putney has earned the distinction of the class of 2018 salutatorian. Nick has been a varsity tennis player, a member of the chess club and has worked the sound crew for the Warrensburg drama club. He will attend SUNY Plattsburgh to study nutritional science in the fall. Nicholas is the son of Gregory and Denise Putney of Warrensburg.

Olivia McNeill has earned the distinction as the class of 2018 honor student. She has been extremely active in the HOBY organization where she currently serves as the alumni president. She is the president of Junior State of America and a varsity cross country and spring track athlete. Olivia will attend Fordham University in the fall to study political science. While at Fordham she will be an Army ROTC Cadet. Olivia is the daughter of Dan and Jackie McNeill of Lake George.

Elizabeth Bonk has been the captain of the varsity volleyball team, participated in CASMA for band, and an active member in the National Honor Society. After graduation Elizabeth will attend Union College to major in biology and minor in Spanish. She hopes to travel the world and immerse herself in different cultures. Elizabeth is the daughter of Catherine Sinkora of Warrensburg.

Mariah Nissen has been actively involved in the school’s musicals as well as a member of the senior choir and master singers. She participated in numerous all-county and all-state voice festivals as well. Mariah plans to attend the Crane School of Music at Potsdam in the fall to pursue a degree in music education with a minor in musical theater. Mariah is the daughter of Michael and Jennifer Nissen of Warrensburg

Sierra Galusha has been an integral member of the yearbook committee and an active member of the National Honor Society. She will attend Siena College in the fall to study accounting. Sierra is the daughter of Robert and Norma Galusha of Warrensburg.

Thor Larson is a two sport varsity athlete playing for the golf and basketball teams as well as an active member in Junior State of America. He will attend Saint Michael’s College in the fall to pursue a degree in business. Thor is the son of Terri and Scott Larson of Athol.

Daniel Monthony has been on the wrestling, tennis, football and track teams, along with actively participating in our drama club, chess club, Junior State of America and SADD. He will attend Rochester Institute of Technology in the fall to study electrical engineering and robotics. Daniel is the son of Kim and Regina Monthony of Chestertown.

Kayla Raymond is the vice president of Junior State of America and a member of the varsity field hockey and basketball teams. She will attend SUNY Adirondack in the fall to pursue a degree in health education. Kayla is the daughter of Scott and Kendra Raymond of Warrensburg.

Tara Santisteban is a member of the National Honor Society, the BOCES arts and illustration program, and a Girl Scout through Girl Scouts of North Eastern New York. Tara’s plans after graduation are to seek employment, build up her independence, and then attend college for graphic arts and animation. Tara is the daughter of Michael and Erika Santisteban of Warrensburg.
