Elementary School Receives Funds for Conservation Project

The Warrensburg Central School District is pleased to announce the Elementary School with receive $750 from the Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District for the creation of a native wildflower garden in the school’s courtyard.

 

The student-based project will begin in the fall and will focus on gardening, while incorporating best management practices such as rain barrels and composting bins at the at the school. Elementary Principal Amy Langworthy said, “We are grateful for this funding and looking forward to collaborating with Warren County Soil and Water Conservation. In addition to the project aligning with the science curriculum, students will have the opportunity work as a team and experience the pride and satisfaction of cultivating a live project.”
