"Art is Literacy of the Heart" - Elliot Eisner

The central focus of our work in the High School Art Department is that the Visual Arts are, at their core, a means of communication and therefore a Visual Language.  To communicate clearly in this language we study the history of art, learn the language tools and how to use them, and work on strategies to analyze and criticize works of art by others.
